AW 19/20

For this autumn winter collection 19/20 I started the collection with a concept, followed by a dazzling moodboard including a matching colorcard and material use. Of course this was all based on the trends of this season translated for the relevant brand. This brand had a target group of cool girls around their twenties who love glitters, stars and funky colors.
The moodboard gave a perfect ‘way-to-go’. With this moodboard I started design a full collection of 150 items in total.
From T-shirts to technical jackets and from horse blankets to sport breeches. I had to combine sportswear and ready-to-wear in a functional, but even more, fashionable way. After a good talk with the sales agents of the brand, we build up a framework for the collection by analyzing the sales figures of the previous seasons. After the framework was clear I could start to make sketches which then evaluate in technical drawings, including details of for examples; pockets, artwork and prints.
These technical drawing needed to be send out to the suppliers in China and India.
With 150 pieces in one collection it is quite a challenge to make it one collection, so I had to think very smart in using colors, contrast, artwork and prints. I split up the colorcard in color groups to make it an understanding story for the customer. The collection came together very clearly and had some statements pieces in it, next to the dedicated commercial items which is the perfect wedding to sell loads. After the collection was finished I organized the photoshoot with the marketing team.
We had a blast during the complete process of this collection and I am still very happy with all the results we made.
Take a look and enjoy!
